Welcome to J & J Designz. We are a boutique online store that specializes in laser etched products. Founded in 2017, my husband and I decided to 'flex' our combined 40+ years of corporate and IT management to a business that allowed our creative side a chance to shine. To our pleasant surprise, we found our customers loving the products we could create for them using laser etching. Tens and tens of thousands of glasses later, while our business and capabilities have grown, we're still rooted in the same commitment to delivering exceptional products and service to our customers.

WHAT IS LASER ETCHED GLASSWARE?
Laser etching is a process where the laser directly impacts the glass surface, creating a permeant white design. The design is embedded into the glass surface and will not wear away (unlike sublimation printing or decals). Our glasses are dishwasher safe.
ARE THE GLASSES DISHWASHER SAFE?
Absolutely. We use commercial grade glassware that can withstand the restaurant industry use (and washing). The laser etching process makes the design permanent to the glass, so no worries about it washing away.
CAN YOU DO THE DESIGN IN COLOR?
Laser etching is not available in color. Products you see on glasses that are done in color are usually produced via screen printing, decal or ink. The tradeoff to the color is those processes are prone to wear away quickly from the glass. The white you see on our etching is not 'applied' to the glass, but the result of the physical impact of the laser on the glass.
CAN YOU DO ANY TYPE OF DESIGN ON THE GLASS?
We offer a 'Design Your Own' option for many of our popular glassware products. This option allows you to put 'virtually' any type of design on the glass and truly make it a one of a kind design. Both sides of the glass are available for you to customize (at no additional charge). We can work with your completed design, or we can work with you to create a design from scratch. Design assistance is provided at no additional charge.
When considering your design, keep in mind that etching is a single toned medium (think true black and white vs. greyscale). While your graphic/artwork doesn't need to already be in black/white, it does need to be something that can translate to a line based image.
I HAVE MY OWN GRAPHIC/LOGO/DESIGN. WHAT KIND OF FORMAT DO YOU NEED AND WHERE DO I SEND IT?
We can work with most file formats (i.e. PNG, AI, EPS, PDF, SVG, JPEG). PDFs and PNGs tend to produce the best results, but we can accept other formats. Please email the file to firstname.lastname@example.org with your order #.
WE HAVE A LARGE EVENT COMING UP. CAN YOU HANDLE LARGE QUANTITY ORDERS, AND DO YOU OFFER QUANTITY DISCOUNTS?
Absolutely, whether you need 5 of 500 glasses, we have you covered. If you would like a custom quote on orders of 12 or more, please send us an email at email@example.com with the following information:
- Type of design (i.e. single or double sided)
- Type of glass (or glasses) and approximate quantity
- Will design be the same for all glasses (or are any personalized)?
- Location for shipping (city/state, or zip is fine)
I've already purchased some glasses (or would like to purchase a different type of glass than you offer)...would you be able to etch them?
Unfortunately we do not offer etching service on outside products. Laser etching has technical perimeters in terms of the type of material and specific areas of a glass that can be etched. Since experimentation is required every time we introduce a new glass type, we cannot use glasses that we have not already cleared for our products. Hand crafted processes (such as sandblasting) typically may work better for etching of specialized glass types.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?
CAN I CANCEL/RETURN MY ORDER?
You may cancel your order until proof approval is received. Because our products are personalized, we are unable to accept returns. We are extraordinarily careful to ensure what you order is what you receive. In the event there is an error on our part on your item, we will replace it at no cost to you (including shipping of the new item).
MY ORDER ARRIVED DAMAGED, NOW WHAT?
All of our orders are shipped insured. We take extra care to ensure all of our items are shipped securely. In the event of shipping damage, you are responsible for notifying us within 5 days of receipt. Please keep all packaging material until instructed otherwise.
We will assist in filing the insurance claim, however we may require your assistance in providing the insurer additional information/photos. We will replace or issue a refund (your choice) for the damaged items in your order.
